Cobra's sprites are rather different to images, that is, they are much more useful and have many more features. Sprites do not need to be manually drawn (they are automatically drawn whenever you call the Flip command), and they are only repainted as necessary, which makes them much faster than images.

Images (and their close cousin, Sprites) form the most useful part of the 2D library, and here is where we get to take a look at them in all their pixelated glory.

The first thing we should do to get into the Pure2D library is look at some simple 2D graphics, nothing too fancy.

Before reading these tutorials, it is assumed that you have at least a Beginner's grasp of Cobra and programming, that you understand how to create variables and open a simple screen. This is all covered in the Beginners tutorials.
